PSCU Joins World Council of Credit Unions

U.S.-based payments CUSO has long history of supporting WOCCU and its programs

Madison, Wis. — (May. 7, 2020) — PSCU has joined World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) as an Associate Member.

Founded in 1976, PSCU is a credit union service organization (CUSO) that leverages digital technology to offer specialized services in payments, technology, contact center solutions, collections and digital banking. Based in St. Petersburg, Fla., the company is widely considered to be the premier payments CUSO in the United States—supporting the success of more than 1,500 credit unions that process more than 3.8 billion transactions annually.

PSCU also has a rich tradition of supporting WOCCU programs and events. For more than a decade, PSCU has been a key financial, event and leadership partner for WOCCU’s Global Women’s Leadership Network and disaster relief efforts.

“PSCU has long been a leader in the credit union industry and a strong supporter of World Council programs. We are pleased to welcome them to wider strategic participation as an associate member—as we move to a digital world,” said World Council President and CEO Brian Branch.

WOCCU associate memberships are specifically designated for business service organizations and international organizations that represent non-credit union financial cooperatives.

“We are excited to expand our relationship with World Council of Credit Unions as an associate member following our long history of supporting the organization and its initiatives,” said Merry Pateuk, senior vice president, Industry Engagement at PSCU. “PSCU is strategically focused on digital transformation—including digital channels, digital banking, data analytics and cybersecurity—which aligns with WOCCU’s own digitization initiative for credit unions. We look forward to further supporting our mutual efforts to champion the credit union model.”
