PSCU Wins NACUSO’s 2016 CUSO of the Year Award

St. Petersburg, Fla. – (April 13, 2016) – PSCU, the nation’s leading credit union service organization, has been awarded NACUSO’s prestigious CUSO of the Year Award, recognizing the important role CUSOs play in helping credit unions effectively and efficiently serve their members. Award applicants were judged on their thought leadership within the credit union industry, the value of the CUSO to its members, innovation in organizational design, implementation and execution.

PSCU has played a vital role in enabling growth for its member-owner credit unions and has continued to prosper since its founding in 1977. Today, the CUSO is owned by 800+ credit unions and offers an array of payment products and services that enable credit unions of all sizes to compete with much larger national payments issuers. Expanding from just a handful of employees, PSCU now has more than 1,800 employees and services over 2 billion transactions annually.

“On behalf of our member-owner credit unions, employees and board, we are grateful and honored by this recognition,” said Chuck Fagan, PSCU’s President and CEO. “Like NACUSO and its many partners, PSCU continues to work diligently to strengthen the credit union industry by serving as an extension of our Members’ staff, positioning them for growth and success.”

The award was accepted by Steve Salzer, SVP, Legal and General Counsel of PSCU, during the 2016 NACUSO Network Conference in Las Vegas on April 6.

Now in the 18th year, NACUSO’s CUSO of the Year Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the industry. It recognizes CUSOs for their collaboration, innovation and the reinvention of the credit union industry.

“We couldn't be happier to see PSCU win this award,” said Jack Antonini, NACUSO’s President and CEO. “PSCU has more than earned it through the trust and loyalty built with its member owners, and the high quality service provided to every credit union that utilizes PSCU, all while delivering tremendous value to its members.”
