PSCU Elevates Mobile Member Experience with New Loyalty Rewards Functionality
CUSO Collaborates With Owners to Optimize Loyalty Website and Add Redemption Features
St. Petersburg, Fla. (May 9, 2017) – To enhance the member experience, PSCU, the nation’s leading CUSO, has launched a redesigned CURewards® website that provides cardholders with robust, and accessible redemption options to its CURewards loyalty program.
For many consumers, a rewards program is required for a card to obtain top-of-wallet status. PSCU’s dynamic CURewards program, deployed by more than 340 credit unions to their 3.6 million cardholders, enables cardholders to earn points each time they use their credit or debit card. The points are redeemable for anything from trips and exotic travel destinations to high-end electronics, gift cards and even cash. The comprehensive redemption website that members use to monitor and cash in their points has been redesigned using qualitative research and usability testing with credit unions and their members, as well as best practices from leaders in the loyalty industry.

The new points redemption website features responsive design technology that automatically adapts to the user’s screen size and orientation. This design approach ensures that mobile and desktop visitors are served up a seamless experience with the same user interface and content, no matter what device they use to access the website. The new design enhances the member’s interactive experience and simplifies administration for credit unions.
In addition to a seamless experience, the competitive rewards program has meaningful and interesting redemption options for members. Varied and impressive reward options not only increase card usage and average spend, but also dissuade members from switching to other reward programs. One of the most popular reward categories is travel, which is why PSCU implemented a new feature on the Variable Air travel redemption option.
The Variable Air option allows cardholders the flexibility to redeem any amount of reward points toward their airline fare through a simple points calculator. This enhanced feature provides cardholders with the option to pay for their travel with a combination of points and cash.
This is the first of four phases of improvements scheduled for the CURewards loyalty program in 2017. Other improvements slated include an updated online mall, a new points-to-cash calculator that lets cardholders see the number of points necessary to obtain a statement credit, expanded gift card offerings and new search functions.
