PSCU Announces Keynote Speakers for Member Forum 2018

Former Chief Technology Officer of the United States and broadcast veteran slated to speak at annual gathering of CUSO’s Member-Owners

St. Petersburg, Fla. – (Nov. 28, 2017) – PSCU has announced Aneesh Chopra and Soledad O’Brien as keynote speakers for Member Forum 2018. As former Chief Technology Officer of the United States, Chopra will share insightful information and best practices with attendees surrounding security. Given recent cybersecurity breaches, Chopra’s experience will provide attendees with valuable lessons they can apply to their own security strategies and technologies. O’Brien, a seasoned broadcast personality and award-winning journalist, will offer a fresh perspective on diverse and contemporary issues while encouraging attendees to foster change in their own communities. Registration is now open for Member Forum 2018 online.

Chopra is an American executive who served as the first Chief Technology Officer of the United States under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2012. Chopra previously served as Virginia’s Secretary of Technology under Governor Tim Kaine and was a candidate for the Lieutenant Governor of Virginia Democratic nomination in 2013. He currently serves as a senior advisor at Albright Stonebridge Group and is co-founder and executive vice president of NavHealth.

O’Brien has established herself as one of the most recognized names in broadcast and is a champion of diversity. She gives a voice to the underserved and disenfranchised through her Emmy award-winning reporting and acclaimed documentary series, “Black in America” and “Latino in America.” O’Brien draws from her personal life and career to stimulate thoughtful conversation on the roles people play in their communities and organizations, leaving audiences with memorable takeaways on the power of individuals and companies to make meaningful and lasting changes. O’Brien will speak at Member Forum’s women’s leadership breakfast and will also close out the general session of the event.
