PSCU Announces Keynote Speakers for its 2018 Member Forum

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – PSCU announced that Aneesh Chopra and Soledad O’Brien will be keynote speakers at the CUSO’s Member Forum 2018 annual meeting.

As former chief technology officer of the United States, Chopra will share insightful information and best practices with attendees surrounding security. Given recent cyber security breaches, Chopra’s experience will provide attendees with valuable lessons they can apply to their own security strategies and technologies, PSCU said.

O’Brien, a seasoned broadcast personality and award-winning journalist, will offer a fresh perspective on diverse and contemporary issues while encouraging attendees to foster change in their own communities, PSCU said.

Registration is now open for Member Forum 2018 online.

Chopra is an American executive who served as the first chief technology officer of the United States under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2012. Chopra previously served as Virginia’s secretary of technology under Governor Tim Kaine and was a candidate for the lieutenant governor of Virginia Democratic nomination in 2013. He currently serves as a senior advisor at Albright Stonebridge Group and is co-founder and executive vice president of NavHealth.

O’Brien has established herself as one of the most recognized names in broadcast and is a champion of diversity. She gives a voice to the underserved and disenfranchised through her Emmy award-winning reporting and acclaimed documentary series, “Black in America” and “Latino in America.”

O’Brien draws from her personal life and career to stimulate thoughtful conversation on the roles people play in their communities and organizations, leaving audiences with memorable takeaways on the power of individuals and companies to make meaningful and lasting changes. O’Brien will speak at Member Forum’s women’s leadership breakfast and will also close out the general session of the event, PSCU said.

“PSCU is honored to have a seasoned security veteran like Aneesh and an influential entrepreneur like Soledad as our Member Forum 2018 keynote speakers,” said Scott Wagner, PSCU’s chief revenue officer. “We look forward to sharing more details about additional speakers, breakout sessions, networking opportunities and entertainment soon.”

Member Forum 2018 will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch on April 24-26, 2018. The CUSO’s annual meeting will include breakout sessions, multiple speakers, entertainment and a charity dinner and live auction hosted by comedian and actor Sinbad. In an effort to support Hurricane Maria disaster relief efforts where the event was originally planned, all proceeds from the Member Forum charity dinner and live auction will be donated to those in need in Puerto Rico, PSCU explained.

Registration is now open for Member Forum 2018. A video about the event can be viewed here, and the complete speaker lineup and agenda will be released shortly, PSCU said.
