Core Payment Solutions

The Annual Activity Summary provides your cardholders with an itemized year-end list of all the transactions on their account in functional categories, such as merchandise/retail purchases, travel/lodging expenses, groceries, ticket/events, gas/automotive, and restaurants. This money management tool aids your members in budgeting household expenses, identifying business expenditures, and preparing for taxes.

Our Card Activation solution helps reduce NRI (Never Received Issue) fraud by sending out inactive plastics. During the embossing phase, a card activation sticker is affixed to the credit/debit/ATM card, and includes directions and a toll-free number to call for activation. The cardholder is authenticated and the card is activated based on account record information.

The first impression is important…

All plastics are mailed affixed to a card carrier for delivery to the cardholder. In addition to basic card information, card carriers can be utilized as a tool to provide information and/or marketing to the cardholder. For a new account, the card carrier is one of the first communications the credit union has with the a cardholder. We offer generic and customizable carriers.

Cardholders having trouble remembering their Personal Identification Number (PIN)? Not anymore. Allow your members the opportunity to select a PIN they can remember. A mailer can be sent that provides all the necessary information and steps to change their PIN to one they can easily remember.

Your credit union can also choose to offer this solution through Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and/or through ATM terminals.

Contactless plastics include a radio-frequency chip embedded in the cards that allow them to “speak” to enabled POS terminals. Contactless targets merchant locations where speed and convenience are vital. This technology also provides added security since the cardholder maintains possession of their card. Transactions under $25 don’t require a signature or receipt so your cardholder enjoys fast “in and out” convenience.

Our Transaction Level Processing (TLP) tool equips credit unions to implement and track up to 50 separate promotional rate campaigns for each cardholder.   • Insurance takes over minimum monthly payments if the primary insured cardholder becomes involuntarily unemployed or disabled for more than 30 days (some exclusions and limitations apply).
  • Unpaid balances up to $10,000 are paid in the event of the death of the primary or secondary insured cardholder. Credit unions receive a percentage of all premiums collected each month. First CUSO To Deliver This Preventative Technology!

We are the first CUSO to deliver advanced neural network technology that examines incoming credit and debit authorizations for potential fraud - in real-time. CUNA Mutual, the bond coverage underwriter for many credit unions, endorses this technology as an effective fraud management tool. Each authorization is analyzed using a database that contains profiles of merchants and cardholder behavior. Any fraudulent activity automatically updates the database, so that fraudulent attempts can be immediately detected and both current and future attempts can be prevented. Our Falcon Fraud Detection Center reviews each suspicious transaction, reviews the cardholder account and calls the cardholder if necessary.

Other activities that proactively reduce the risk of fraud are our detailed authentication processes for card activation and the co-mingling of cards with other mail to reduce the risk of mail fraud. Our well-trained Contact Center representatives handle activation calls. Cardholders are asked to confirm proprietary personal information as well as identify unique data from the card. U.S. cardholders receive a toll-free number and international cardholders received a collect number. Both Visa and MasterCard report that these techniques significantly reduce the risk of fraud. These security techniques can also earn a discount from insurers, while increasing cardholder confidence and boosting loyalty.

Footprints Online Service helps issuers track transactions entered by your employees on cardholder’s accounts residing on the First Data system. Using an interface with First Data, your credit union can select, view, and download transactions by User ID and date range. Transaction reporting history, either by User ID or cardholder, is available for 120 days.

Our Identity Theft solution can be offered several ways. The Blanket program provides a low-cost way to offer complimentary identity theft protection for your members. Basic coverage includes: an assigned recovery advocate that assesses damage, creates a recovery plan that includes the use of limited power of attorney, and corrects all incidents of fraud. This plan also provides 12 months of post-recovery follow-up. The CLUB program offers the same managed identity recovery services described above, but the benefit also extends to the member’s family including children under 25 and parents in the same household. Built exclusively by Equifax, BNI predicts the likelihood of consumer bankruptcy within the next 24 months and helps customers make timely decisions regarding acquisitions, credit limits, risk-based pricing, credit line management, over-limit authorization, re-issuance, and collection activity.

These scores quickly indicate any changes in the risk level of each cardholder’s account. Our automated process is significantly less expensive and time-consuming than running your own portfolio reviews. Enrollment is easy. All you need to do is enroll the desired accounts - there is no need for tape transmissions and enrollment is FREE. New scores are available in January, April, July, and October.

This solution is managed by the credit union.

Our credit unions appreciate the electronic cardholder statement delivery options available from PSCU. With eStatements, cardholder billing via Enterprise Statements or Strategic Communications Solutions (SCS) are delivered in an electronic format through our InfoLinkSM and Data eXchangeTM solutions. Your cardholders are instantly notified via e-mail when their statements are ready. It’s just that simple!

InfoLink allows cardholders to view their consumer credit card information through a link on their credit union’s Web site. InfoLink can be branded for seamless integration with the credit union's Web site, whether a URL or designated Web address is selected. Along with being able to view current balance and pending and posted transactions, credit unions can opt in to InfoLink’s enhanced services. Members will enjoy a number of additional features such as the ability to pay their credit card bill online, activate their card, order a replacement card, maintain account information, request a PIN, submit online account inquiries, or order statement copies.

With PSCU's payment processing, cardholders have the option to mail payments to strategically located lockbox locations around the country, or take advantage of online or pay-by-phone methods.

Users of the Pay My Credit Card Bill service can make "on-demand" payments at their convenience and can make an ACH deduction from a cardholder deposit account.

Pay by Phone

Cardholders also appreciate the convenience of making a credit card payment from their checking account with a single call at anytime of the day or night to our Contact Center. With Pay By Phone, our representatives take the required account information from the cardholder and activate the payment. This service reduces the number of late payments by offering "payment on demand" for a nominal charge.

PerformanceOne®, the Web tool for enhanced performance, is available to all credit unions via our member portal, MemberConnect. This self-service Web tool quickly and easily provides key performance, profitability, and trending metrics on your credit and debit programs. Right Time Payment (RTP) offers a temporary real-time authorization for credit card accounts. After a payment has been made, the RTP function will temporarily adjust the cardholder’s credit and delinquent attributes. Purchases can be made immediately based on the new available credit amount or status.

Our ROWnet™ solution provides Internet access to your reports on IDP. This solution requires a VPN connection for users to view, print, and download reports or statements to their workstations. ROWnet is a more secure, time efficient, and cost effective alternative to hard-copy reports.

Our TechLinkSM service offers a one-to-one resolution of your members’ technical issues with Internet and software problems. This service is offered 24/7.

Enhanced Services

  • Pay credit card bills
    This option equips users to make ACH-based payments on any registered credit card account.
  • Activate credit cards
    Cardholders can activate their credit card online if the plastic status code on their account indicates that the card has not been activated.
  • Request PIN mailer
    Cardholders can request an existing PIN for any registered credit card account, which will be mailed to the cardholder address. Each credit union determines a secondary authentication method for use with this feature.
  • Order a replacement credit card
    Cardholders can request a replacement for a damaged credit card, after verifying that the card has not been lost or stolen. A required method of secondary authentication is determined by the credit union.
  • Maintain cardholder account information
    Cardholders can update addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses online after secondary authentication, which is set by the credit union.
  • Order statements for last 12 months
    Cardholders can request a copy of any available statement for any registered credit card account for the past 12 months.
  • Initiate general inquiries about payments or transactions
    Cardholders can click any transaction on the history page to initiate an e-mail inquiry into that transaction. Members can also submit general questions about their account and choose the method that they want to be contacted - phone or e-mail.
